Branding strategy project that will make Dell become the top tech provider for users actively looking to improve their well-being and professional success.

Project developed for the Product 7 class with the guidance of James Chu. Using a diverse arrange of research techniques like SWOT, STEEP analysis, matrices, interviews, surveys, among others,  we were able to define a path for a company of our choice, to aim at the right market, at the right pain points, with the right technology, in the right timeframe.

Dell is an American multinational computer technology company founded in 1984. Recently went off the stock market in order to make a controversial merge with EMC Cloud Services, which paid off, making them highly profitable at this moment, but their main market, enterprise and the standardized office we know today, is changing quickly.  

 

The amount of freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote office and coworking spaces are growing fast.

 

At this growing rate, 50% of the U.S. workforce will be freelancers by 2027

Is there a way to help them achieve a balance between professional success and well-being?

According to the research, their biggest pain point is their freedom of choice between professional and personal time, when every single hour of the day can be work or play. This issue has shown to be an exhausting cycle that leads them to leave an imbalanced life, standing up all night to finish a project, and/or neglecting their personal life.

VISION MATE

State of the art room projector and desktop screen solution that helps you stay focused by transitioning spaces according to the desired/scheduled activity. Offers downloadable wellness classes like meditation, yoga, among others. Uses depth sensors and VGA video camera  to connect with the surrounding environment

With the use of 3 projectors on a single unit, Vision Mate will  create an immersive experience that will help stay focus, fit and healthy.

Explores current world trends or events in the social, tech, ecological, economical and political realms.It also helps to predict what might happen in the future.

SWOT

Uncovers strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the researched brand + their closest 

competitors.

MATRICES

Using a more graphical approach, matrices allowed us to more clearly state and identify opportunities by looking at archetypes and the companies efforts. 

Surveys and Interviews

Both were held during the 14 week branding strategy project. The results helped confirm or question previous insights and assumptions.
